While New York Honey Whiskey is fine to sip on its own, it’s also a welcome addition to many cocktails. Here’s just a few we’ve come up with. . .
Love on the Rocks
CP NY Honey Whiskey over ice. A perfect cocktail add an orange slice as a garnish.
Perfect Old Fashioned
In a rocks glass or tumbler muddle a slice of orange and a maraschino cherry. Add a dash of angostura bitters and two ounces of CP NY Honey Whiskey. Serve over ice.
Two parts lemonade, one part lemon soda or lemon seltzer, add CP NY Honey Whiskey. A squeeze of lemon is next followed by ice. Add a slice of lemon as a garnish.
In a shaker add 2 oz Catskill honey whiskey, 2/3 oz lemon juice, 1 tsp honey simple syrup, add ice, shake vigorously, pour all into a cocktail glass and garnish with a cherry. add a dash of egg white you have shaken and frothed in a separate shaker then top cocktail and add garnish of your choice. traditional garnish is a cherry.
Bee There or Bee Square
2oz Honey Rye, Honey Syrup, 1oz lemon juice, 1oz grapefruit juice shaken and served straight up dusted with bee pollen.
Catskill A. Palmer
Equal parts lemonade and ice tea, a shot of CP NY Honey Whiskey. Squeeze of lemon. Slice of lemon garnish. Serve over ice.
Catskill Apple Pie
2oz NY Honey Whiskey, 3oz fresh apple cider, dash of cinnamon, shake and serve over ice in a rocks glass, garnish with a cinnamon stick.
Late Summer Honey
2 Parts Honey Rye, 1 part Apple Jack and a splash of simple syrup shaken and served over ice or straight up garnished with an apple slice.
Wicked bees knees
Can be served in an up-glass or over ice. Mix 2oz CP NY Honey Whiskey, 1oz Elderberry Liqueur, juice of one lemon, a dash of maple syrup. Garnish with a slice of lemon.
